Thank you to all the parents and kids who turned up and took part in the football tournament on Sunday 11th May.  The hot conditions made it very difficult for the lads but both teams stood up and competed well against various age groups.

The squad was split into two evenly matched teams with Steve taking the red/white team and me taking the blue/white team.

In our final game of the day the blue/white team managed to escape finishing bottom of the league and gain a moral boosting win with a solitary goal from Liam Day.

The red/white team had a very successful day losing 2-0 in the semi finals.  Well done Steve and his team for the day.

I would like to say a big well done to Jack Allen who won the male player of the day award with several outstanding saves for the blue/white team.

Jack didn't know this at the time but I was using the tournament as a trial for Jack and he performed very well and will therefore be in the squad next season.  Billy know has his wish to be an outfield player next season.

Well done to all the lads, and thanks to all the parents for your support.
