My role in the Group:  Costume maker, rebel woman of the `45, viking or lady Elizabeth Deburgh (wife of Robert the Bruce)  

How/why did I get into re-enacting: I was asked to help out with another group and really excited me...I wanted more.     

What period do your prefer: Jacobite times..due to the fact we live so close to Culloden Battlefield & that it changed the way we live in Scotland forever.    

What do you gain from re-enacting and living history:   I feel that you understand how difficult life must have been long ago & appreciate what they went through before us. Also the weight of the world is lifted the minute you get into costume and that you meet the most interesting people of various walks of life.     

Most memorable time/event and why:  I would have to say when my husband presented Billy Connolly with a handmade targe (shield) at Lonach games last summer. He was truly taken back and we felt he appreciated the gesture.       

Future goal in the field of re-enacting: To keep History alive for people who think they aren`t interested by doing it in a more fun,interesting & hands on way.
