A facebook message asking if I could build a storage box and seat for the New Broom in Ullapool started the great build. They wanted somewhere that people could leave donations when the shop was shut, and also provide a place for residents and visitors to sit and watch the world go by.

 After planning the design and sourcing materials it was time to get the router out and start building. One router later - and a bit of swearing it has to be said - and the legs were completed and we could start the build.

We wanted something special, so used the woodburning iron to put the logo on the front panel (more angst when the iron died!) before moving in from the shed to the kitchen and starting construction. With 'willing' volunteers, the task was completed and delivered to Ullapool. It looks great sitting outside the shop, and I believe it has been well used.
