Welcome to AV Film Editing

Hello. My name is Avtar and thanks for visiting my little corner of the Internet. The site is still under construction, but here's a brief introduction to what I do professionally.

I am an experienced film editor based in Central and West London (but available Worldwide) and have worked in the field of Postproduction since 1980 working largely on TV/Cinema Commercials, originally cutting film (yes, celluloid!!!) and more recently (since c.1990) I have been editing on high-end computerised non-linear editing systems, namely "AVID" and "Final Cut Pro". Obviously in all that time I have also edited many other types of production such as short films, music videos, corporate documentaries and internet "virals" amongst others.

More recently I have just finished work on a 4 minute promotional film for a new internet-based football game for Sega which was shot on the newly introduced  RED One ultra high definition (4K) digital camera which creates data files on a hard disk. Currently I am editing a 30 min short film, also shot on the same format. Needless to say, the picture quality is stunning!
