Welcome to athomephotography's new website

Hello let me briefly introduce myself ...I am a 52 year old photographer based in the east midlands.

I have been into photography for over 40 years.

I have been taking photographs of people and wildlife on and off for well over 35 years
As you can see from my portfolio I have a varied topic photographic collection.
 

My journey first started into preservation of images i had taken by developing black and white photographs in the darkened Bathroom with bin bags at the windows and I have evolved through into the digital era by self education.

I am fluent in image manipulation and restoration of old / damaged photographs using Adobe Photoshop CS.

Over 30 years ago I also used to teach photography to children and with the loan of a local darkroom at a community centre. This was when i worked at a Local Council helping to Run a community Playground for 11 - 17 year olds as a playworker.

This was their very first  introduction into Taking, Developing and storing the wonders of the black and white Image for most of the children.

I was later employed as a darkroom techinician at a hospital before broadening my horizons and furthering my career prospects by taking further qualifications.

Nowadays my time is taken up by work as an Assistant Practitioner (Also taking Images but this time the inside the human body)But very closely related to Black & White / Greyscale Images.

My Current portfolio has samples of my many Weddings, Family Portraits, Birthdays, Christenings, Pet Portraits and General wildlife.

I enjoy capturing Nature,Animals and wildlife but also turn my hands to photographing humans occasionally.

My current Camera's are a canon EOS 450 and a 550D which i hope to upgrade in the near future.
 

I launched athomephotography through demand for good quality photographs on a tighter budget in 2003.
