RIVER NESS FAS - RoCAS TALK AT INVERNESS MUSEUM
Archaeology on the Flood Alleviation Scheme: Snapshots of the Town's Past
FREE Lunchtime Lecture
RoCAS will be reporting on the recent discoveries along the banks of River Ness during Phase 1 of the River Ness Flood Alleviation Scheme on behalf of Morgan Sindall and the Inverness Museum Lunchtime Lecture series.
Although challenging at times, the fieldwork has uncovered a myriad of archaeological remains hidden below the present day streets. Building remains, old roads and early infrastructure, including hints of the medieval burgh, form part of the findsing of the work in the town centre.
