Analysis by Dr. Alison Sheridan of the Neolithic pottery from 

the 2011 watching brief of the Inverness Flood Relief Channel

has revealed that between 2-3 different traditions of Neolithic

pottery was found in the pits and supports a 'palimpsest of 

Neolithic activity on the site.
