AHSFP 13 v Errol Amateurs 0 Hercules Den, Arbroath Saturday 27th September 2008

The FPs found themselves 1-0 ahead after one minute, when GALL opened the scoring, which set the tone for this game. The Perth team had travelled through to Arbroath with the bare eleven players stripped and no club officials, which raised a few eyebrows and the FPs proceeded to run riot and found themselves 7-0 ahead at half-time.

The FPs introduced Ross, Cook and Chalmers at half-time, and scored a further six to record their biggest win in the Scottish Cup in their 81 year history. The scorers were GALL (3), McLAREN (3), HERRON (2), LEES (2), HUMPHREYS (2) and ROSS. The FPs pick of the goals was from McLaren just after half-time, with a left foot curler from twenty yards out but it was Lees who run the show, and he was the FPs man of the match.

Credit to Errol who never gave up and didn't resort to trying to kick the FPs off the park, and the home team showed a ruthlessness in front of goal they will need to show more often, when they play stiffer opposition.
