This site is for raising awareness and to hopefully facilitate rescue and adoptions of some very special animals. Yes we are for special needs cats and kittens but occasionally there will be some of our canine friends too!

A little history...

Anyas special needs cats and kittens began when author Lucinda Hare was to adopt a little blind kitten called Anya from Romania. Little Anya was getting ready to join all of her new brothers and sisters here in Scotland but sadly the wee angel crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge before this could happen. An avid animal lover anway and having already adopted special needs animals from Europe, Lucinda began spearheading a group on a social networking site to assist and facilitate the rescue, care and adoption of more of these poor souls who without a fight would have no-one.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Lucinda and this group, The amazing rescuers who bring these souls to our attention and the incredible folks at Europet Transport, These animals have been given a new lease of life in loving forever homes.

As with any rescue association, These are always funded entirely through generous donations and fundraising. This cannot be done without YOUR help so for this we thank you and we hope that this continues so that we can continue our fight to give these animals what they so sorely deserve.
