angus dunn - writerAngus Dunn is from the Highlands of Scotland and is the author of two published books: Writing in the Sand (Luath Press, 2006) A novel which was shortlisted for the 2007 Saltire Society Scottish First Book of the Year Award. The Perfect Loaf (Two Ravens Press, 2008) A book of short stories.

Angus was awarded the 1995 Robert Louis Stevenson Prize and the 2002 Neil Gunn Short Story prize. His short stories have been published in many literary magazines and in collections such as New Writing Scotland and Macallan Shorts. Stories have also been broadcast on Radio 4, Radio Scotland and Lochbroom FM. His poetry has been published in many Scottish magazines and anthologies.

He has long experience working with other writers, giving talks, readings and running workshops. He has appeared twice at the Edinburgh International Book Festival as well as the Inverness Book Festival, Northwords Festival and the Cromarty Book Festival. He spent two years as Writer in Residence for Aberdeenshire and had a short residency at the Scottish Sculpture Workshop.

He was brought up in Aultbea and Cromarty, and now lives near Strathpeffer in Ross-shire.

Poetry: Appeared in anthologies 'Atoms of Delight' (Morning Star/Polygon), 'After the Watergaw' (Scottish Cultural Press) and 'New Writing Scotland' (Association for Scottish Literary Studies and has also designed and edited 'The Black Book' and 'Eddies'.
