Come and see our family friendly and unique Museum for an insight into the history of life in the Howe of Alford and the North East of Scotland Our museum is run completely by volunteers and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
The Museum has now re-opened
We are now open seven days a week from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm
New Find the Fox and Find the Gingerbread Man trails for the under fives and lots to see and do for people of all ages.
We are happy to offer private tours for groups of all ages all year round and can now offer teas and coffees by prior arrangement.

Access for wheelchairs throughout the museum is easy and we have a chair for visitors to use on site. We offer excellent rates for your group of more than 10 and we can even organise afternoon tea for your party if we know you are coming well in advance.
Where are we?
We're in Alford, Aberdeenshire, about half an hour's drive west of Aberdeen on the A944. We can be found at 3 Mart Road, Alford, Aberdeenshire, AB33 8BZ - just follow the brown signs for Alford Heritage Centre.
Parking is available both on the street where there is almost always space, and in the unlikely event that there isn't we also have a car park at the side of the museum.
