Here we try to provide you with visually stimulating formications and live and active ANTS!
What do we offer?
• We offer a variety of ant colonies ranging from just workers to full colonies with a mated queen.
• Formicariums (Ytongs) for your ants to live in, also to give you a better view of ant day to day life.
• Foods and substrates for your ants to live on and live in.
• Accessories and tool to help you help your ant colony thrive.
What ant options do we offer?
• Worker – 10 to 25 worker ants, great for small children and anyone doing a science project. These ants will not multiply there for great for short term projects and parents afraid of being overrun (espically if their child manages to break the ant farm as kids do) .
• Queen – A mated queen with no brood. For those who want to start the colonies right from the beginning.
• Queen + brood – A mated Queen and some eggs (if you’re lucky a few pupa).
• Queen + brood + 5-10 workers – A small colony with a mated queen so they continue to thrive.
• Queen + brood + 11-25 workers – A medium sized colony ready to show you what ant life is like.
Why do we suggest you buy a formicarium (Ytong)?
• Formicariums are ideal for people who wish to watch as their ants go about their day to day lives.
• There is also less to no mess as they do not require sand or soil for your ants to live in.
• Great for large colonies as more nests can be added onto the original nest.
• Every Ytong is handmade so everyone is unique, unless you require them to be the same.
• They are made from a material called aerated autoclaved concrete (AKA Ytong) Which is very lightweight, highly mould resistant, absorbs water quickly also it has great thermal insulation properties.

We sell a range of tools and accessories such as tweezers, feeding dishes, test tubes etc.
