Introduction It appears that we are now living in a society that is intolerant compared to the time when AA Patrol Men saluted AA members having a membership badge on their car.

Now road rage is a common occurance. Road rage is aggressive or angry behavior exhibited by a driver of a road vehicle. These behaviors include rude and offensive gestures, verbal insults, physical threats or dangerous driving methods targeted toward another driver or a pedestrian in an effort to intimidate or release frustration. Road rage can lead to altercations, assaults and collisions that result in serious physical injuries or even death. Strategies include long horn honks, swerving, tailgating and attempting to fight the other driver. ....Wikipedia

Rage now goes beyond road users and we hear of trolley rage in supermarkets and intolerant behaviour in other walks of life.

But sometimes our behaviour is influenced by the actions of those who create situations that annoy us and cause a form of rage.

Let's look at the media and examples of what annoys people in this day and age.

Television  On ITV adverts are most irritating, not only are same adverts repeated but they are shown too frequently interrupting programmes.

Adverts should ideally be shown between different programmes, that is, the beginnings and endings.  Adverts should not spoil your entertainment

The BBC is not without blame with the repeating of trailers, especially on the NEWS CHANNEL, although it must be said that the trailers do appear between programmes.

The INTERNET   The Internet probably causes more viewing rage with the adverts placed on some websites, especially the ones that pop up unexpectantly.

Adverts on websites should be unobtrusive and not distract you from the content.

The adverts on some newspaper websites are over the top and result in deterring viewers.

When advents are forced on you they can cause a reaction that can be described as Internet Rage.
