Active Schools in the Black Isle
'More Children, More Active, More Often'
Welcome to the Active Schools website for the Black Isle community. Active Schools is a National initative aimed at tackling the declining levels of physical activity among many school children. The Black Isle has an Active Schools coordinator in post to work towards getting 80% of school children active for one hour a day. This can be achieved through participating in breakfast activity clubs, lunchtime activities, after school clubs or weekend activities. Plus encouraging children to walk to school, take part in playground games and adopt a healthly lifestyle.
The Active Schools Coordinator in the Black Isle works with Avoch Primary, Cromarty Primary, Culbokie Primary, Cullicudden Primary, Munlochy Primary, Newhall Primary, North Kessock Primary and Tore Primary.
