I've always loved riding and racing bikes beacause it is such a mental and physical challenge. When i first started racing mountain bikes i competed on the downhill circuit which meant i also rode BMX, dirt jumps and pit bikes. I had many top five positions on the SDA and NPS circuits but i could never break into the elite ranks. I think this was down to the lack of downhill training i was able to do because it is pan flat up here.

At the start of 2007 i decided to sell my downhill bike and compete in the endurance discipline of cross country. What a season it was, although i started the season late because of illness i still managed to win the scottish series.

 So for 2008 i will be racing all of the scottish xc rounds, two british national rounds and the british national championships in the pro elite class.
