There was an excellent turnout for this years competition. We were lucky enough to miss most of the bad weather that had been forecast. The winners were Maxine and Ant Sennett with a fabulous total of 50 points, and Jenny Cousins and Roy Isherwood were second, on countback, with 45 points.

Worfield maintained their unbeaten start to the season in the friendlies with a 5.5-2.5 victory. Mr Captain and vice kept up the tradition of allowing the opposing Captain to win.

Seniors Away Day (14/05/2009)
This years event was held at The Abbey Golf and Country Club in Redditch. A great day was had by all, especially the winners. Fortunately the weather forecasters got it all wrong and we had a dry day. The individual winner, on countback after a 3-way tie on 36 points, was Tony Clements. Second place went to Dave Timmington and third was Alan Cousins. The team winners were Tony Jones, Alan Cousins and Ted Pycke, with second place going to Alan Cox, Peter Williams and Reg Smith.

Worfield v Lilleshall (04/04/2009)
The third consecutive saturday with a friendly and Worfield finally secure a win 5-3. The Captain and vice finally manage to break their duck with a nice 3&2 victory. Lilleshall were very complimentary on the course.
Worfield v Wrekin (28/03/2009)
Our second friendly of the season resulted in our second 4-4 draw. Wrekin brought along some of their top golfers and there were a number of close matches. Unfortunately the Captain and Vice-Captain maintained their losing streak but it was a lot closer this time.
Junior Triangular (22/03/2009)
The second leg of the match between Worfield, Bridgnorth and Patshull took place at Bridgnorth. The result on the day was Patshull 210, Bridgnorth 185 and Worfield 183. This was an excellent performance. The competition is for teams of eight with the best 5 scores to count and Worfield only had 5 players. Special mention to Joshua Corke for an excellent 46 points.
Worfield v Sapey (21/03/2009)
Our first friendly of the season resulted in a 4-4 draw. There was some great golf played in the right spirit. Unfortunately the Captain and Vice-Captain got off to a bad start losing their first match quite heavily.
