06 February 2012

The forecast is not good for the next month, hopefully the dreaded snow will keep north or east of us. These pictures were sent in by Steve Atkinson.

  JOHN GILL (TREASURER) WRITES

It`s good to say that over two thirds of our members have paid their rentals for 2012, but there are still about 30 rents outstanding.

Anyone who has still to settle up please hand your rent to either a committee member you see on site or pop it through my letter box at 72 Woodride RH16 4NJ.

It would be great to get these proceedings out of the way before the end of the month. Then we will know how much cash we have to finance some of the things we discussed at the AGM.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I wish everyone a successful season this year.

P.S. Val, it was more the rotten toilet facility than the men that offended your nose.

Locks and Security
22 January 2012

 TONY HARDY WRITES

Hi all, re our AGM on Sunday regarding locks, Mick, I will attatch later a section from The Garden News about theft from the allotment sites.

As many of you will know I have many expensive machines and to secure them I have around fifteen padlocks many by key entry. However in the next few months I will be going to combi locks so as to cut down looking for the keys.

I have recently purchased a combi lock from STERLING. I made a mistake (panic) but not to worry James Crabtree from STERLING assisted and put it all correct. Brilliant customer services. info@sterlinglocks.com

So if members are looking at new sheds or up grading locks they are the company I would recommend, good rates and brilliant service. As you can see they are nicking everything in sight on our Allotments

Blowing the Cobwebs Away!
04 January 2012

It was a bit breezy over here on Tuesday Jan 3rd. This picture was sent in by Steve Atkinson who was there to assist in getting the shed upright again. The shed behind looks to be leaning a bit too.
