Welcome to the website that will record Scotland’s UFO sightings and activity.
In here you will learn just how often UFO’s are witnessed in various parts of Scotland, especially around the top three most visited location’s by UFO’s – number 1 - Bonnybridge, Number 2 - Glenrothes and number 3 - Aberdeen.
These three areas have amassed an amazing ¾ of a million UFO visits between the years of 2000 and 2019.
Some of these sightings have been recorded by prominent members of the community, i.e. Police Officers, Religious Minister’s or Prominent Judges. (in other words members of the community that you would normally trust to be honest).
It is well documented that the area around Falkirk and especially Bonnybridge, have a long history of UFO sightings, some of which have even been caught on camera and with the rapid increase of smartphone ownership, more videos are now being captured, than ever before.
The reason why an area is visited by UFO’s more than another is still unclear, however one theory has emerged that I personally accept. The top 3 location’s in Scotland ALL have one common denominator – they all have links to energy production.
Bonnybridge – is just a stone’s throw from Grangemouth Oil Refinery.
Glenrothes – is the home of Scotland’s largest Biomass Power Station – RWE Markinch.
Aberdeen – is where 80% of all oil and gas produced in the North Sea Oilfields comes ashore.
I personally have a greater interest in the UFO activity around the RWE Biomass Power Station at Glenrothes, as it’s on my doorstep.
The actual UFO activity over the RWE site has vastly increased in the last 12 – 18 months – Why?
As far as I know the power output of this site hasn’t increased any.
Have they changed the fuel they are using?
Have they found a more efficient method of creating the electricity produced by the power plant?
It has even been reported a small van sized UFO actually landed in an area used as a overflow carpark on this site.
The site is covered extensively by CCTV and I have made a request under the Freedom of Information legislation for any video or still images to be released to me. I am eagerly awaiting for a response to my request.
My personal interest in UFO’s started about the same time the RWE Biomass Power Station opened, as I personally witnessed 4 objects that I can only describe as UFO’s hovering above the RWE site for about 15 minutes each before flying off at speeds way faster than any aircraft I know of, and completely silent.
I told a close friend about this and she said she had also seen 2 of the same sightings that I witnessed. She said she hadn’t mentioned these to anyone, as she didn’t think anyone would believe her.

Location: RWE Biomass Power Station, Markinch, Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland
Time: 22:30 pm

Sighting: As I was coming out of my house near the Stagecoach Bus Depot I saw something unusual in the sky. I'm not entirely sure what it was but it looked like some weird craft was hovering silently inside a cloud. It was rotating extremely fast with what appeared to look like strange headlamp like lights. This object hovered over the power station for about 15 minutes then it flew off at an incredible speed until it was just a distant spot, before returning just as fast. The bizarre thing is it was completely silent.
The next night I saw it again around the same time but only for about 5 minutes and in the same position before flying off towards Dundee.
There were over 700 UFO sightings in the same area in September and October 2022 which were reported to the Fife Free Press.
I once was woken up at about 3am on a Sunday morning by strange lights that shone through my bedroom curtains. When I opened the curtains to see where the lights were coming from, I witnessed a strange disc like object flying low over and around the village. It was misty and cold.
I decided to get dressed so I could go outside to get a better view of whatever it was.
Once outside I noticed a small group of my neighbours had also been woken up by the objects lights, once again it was completely silent. We stood in a group of perhaps twelve of us and watched this object flying very low over the village for about twenty minutes without making any noise whatsoever.
Once it had vanished, one of the mum’s invited everyone in the group into her house to warm up with a mug of tea or coffee, so we could all have a chat about what we had all just witnessed.
It was agreed that Ian Cameron a local butcher (no relation)would make enquiries to the Aviation Authority to see if they could give us any details of any military or civilian aircraft that might have been in the area at about the time of our sightings as this might explain what we had all seen, although we doubted it as whatever we had seen flew faster than any known aircraft.
The Aviation Authority took the details and eventually got back in touch with Ian to confirm that no Military or Civilian aircraft had been within 7 miles at the time of our reported sighting
The Aviation Authority told Ian because it had been witnessed by more than 3 unrelated people it was now officially classed and logged as an official UFO sighting.
One of the other men that had gathered at the end of the street that morning, told the group he had witnessed the same thing about 3 weeks earlier. He added he walked down to the power plant to get a better view and was amazed at what he had witnessed and had even managed to capture an image of the disc like object on his phones camera but he was too embarrassed to show the image to anyone else until now.
