Annual General Meeting
18 February 2012

The AGM of the club was held on the afternoon of Saturday 18th February 2012.

There was a good turn-out for Tim Straton to hand over the Presidency to Margaret Moodie, the first Lady President in the clubs history.

John Brindle was elected Vice President and President for this year of the Men's Section.

Good luck to both over the coming year.

Season Completed
25 October 2011

The season is now completed. Well done to the Ladies Champion Hazel Hamlet, the Seniors Champion Alan McLure, the Presidents Champion 'Rab' Bryce and last but not least the Men's Champion Brian Hardie.

Closing Day was a great success with the Secretary's team beating the Treasurer's team although there was nothing serious in the play. A buffet at half time kept up the energy levels and the Prize Giving afterwards was enjoyable, especially to Alastair Leslie and Tim Straton who appeared to spend most of the prize giving shaking each others hands and congratulating themselves.

Well done to all members who helped to make this another successful year for the club.

Well done also to Kerr Petrie, Sinclair Campbell and Brian Hardie who, as soon as possible after Closing Day, were out there replacing the rotten edging at the west side of the green. This has saved the club a lot of money. Thanks also to 'the Kelly's' who paid for the new edging.

Blackhall BC Friendly
13 August 2011

The annual Friendly with Blackhall BC took place on Saturday 13th August at Blackhall.

The weather was 'mixed' but, at times, gave the impression that it was summer.
A good time was had by all and the afternoon tea afterwards was really very very good. 'Well done' to the Blackhall ladies for the smashing spread.
Both Captains told jokes, well one joke each - that was enough- and the company in the clubhouse was convivial.
Blackhall won the Friendly but we will not dwell on the result.
Winners so far this year.

Braid Friendly
30 July 2011

The annual friendly against Braid Bowling Club took place at Trinity on 30th July 2011.

The weather was excellent as was the company. All seven rinks were in use which made for exciting bowling on rink seven.

The afternoon tea within the clubhouse was 'smashing' with a light hearted 'turn' from Wally Stobie to keep the company amused.

Many thanks to the 'Ladies' who organised the food and thanks also to Alan McLure for organising same to proceed like clockwork.

Braid won the game but we will not dwell on that!
