Torfaen Torfaen is one of those "where's that?" areas. It's north of Newport in South Wales and main towns are Pontypool, Cwmbran and Blaenavon.	The Locals! Jane & Mike have contributed to folk and other music in the area for years, encouraging many children and young people to play music.
Alan Burke & Gerry O'Connor, Pontypool 2006 Alan and Gerry did guitar and fiddle workshops and played a concert and session in Pontypool and Cwmbran in May 2006.	Gerry O'Connor & Bob Evans November 2006 Tea break from workshops in Cwmbran. Gerry came over from Ireland and Bob is Welsh and plays with Bragod and Pwngc.
