Welcome to the website for Scarborough Tier 1 Community & Police (CAP) Group.

This site will be used to keep you up to date with what the Tier 1 CAP Group is doing, what the Tier 2 CAP Groups are doing and give another source of information for Community-based meetings.

N.B. - The Government launched a Policing Green Paper for Public Consultation on 17th July 08.

Quote from the Home Office website:-      "The Green Paper sets out our vision for the future of policing and includes radical new plans to cut red tape and give the police more freedom to get on with the job of reducing crime, combined with new measures to increase public confidence in the police and give the public a greater say about how their communities are policed. The Green Paper sets out how the government will build on achievements, working wih the police to continue to drive down crime, drive up public confidence and give local people more information and a bigger say in how their neighbourhood is policed".
