Weeds Hi, could whoever is in charge please mention to the "gardening" contractor that the weeds in the border next to no 73 are bigger than the plants and it is an eyesore. I weed the border next to mine so that one is okay but as we pay for this service I am not weeding that one as well! Also the driveline is quite bad up our way too, could this be attended to - many thanks. Posted by Deborah Robertson on 28 June 2011 kids PLEASE could all residents with children PLEASE ask there children not to run around the estate screaming at all times of the day some people want a quiet life and also some people work shifts would it be too much to ask that kids are at home by 8.00-8.30pm schooldays and 9.00pm on w/ends and non school days. It does seem that some parents (not all) just send there kids out so they themselves can have a quite life and let other people suffer. Posted by angry resdent on 20 August 2010 And I thought Victor Meldrew was dead ! Posted by Mrs Warboys on 15 September 2010 Sounds as if respect for your neighbours is dead too; a typical response to a reasonable request. And before anyone asks, yes I do have kids and yes they play out on the estate and yes they make a bit of noise, but they're in at a reasonable time and certainly not still screaming and shouting at ten / eleven o'clock at night as we've had round our way! There comes a certain point in the evening where some of us like to put our feet up and relax without having to turn up the volume on the tv to drown out the noise (Wimpey's double glazing hardly does the job now does it?)! Posted by Not in the clique on 15 November 2010 This resident does have a point which should be taken into context. Residents who do have children should respect other people and attempt to pass this message onto their offspring. Each and every person on the estate deserves to be treated with respect and not have to endure any unescessary annoyance. Lets hope that in the run up to Christmas people may be more thoughtful of others. Thank you all Administrator Posted by Administrator on 16 November 2010 Yes no kids screaming on streets at 10-11pm very reasonable - but 8pm !!! Posted by Anti clique on 19 November 2010 Ok this one is now closed, no more comments please. I appeal to those who do have kids to control them and those who don't to just try and ignore them. After all there are worse places to live in, trust me i've been there. Night all. Admin Posted by Administrator on 19 November 2010 Merry Christmas Merry christmas to everybody and a happy and prosperous new year. From Wullie ( Border Premier Services Posted by Wullie Border Premier Services on 21 December 2009 Litter at the Border Carpets Does anyone else on The Steadings think that the rubbish that seems to be mounting up (despite the presence of a skip) is starting to become a real eyesore???
