BOULES
Boules at Shipham Village Hall
During the summer months we meet regularly to play the French game of Boules (or Pétanque to give it its posh name). We play on a 'piste' behind a local village hall. We normally play just for our own amusement but we have played matches against teams from a neighbouring U3A and have also taken part in the annual Charity Boules Tournament at Wells. It keeps us active and we get a breath of fresh air!
During the winter, when the weather is inclement, we keep in contact by playing a friendly game of skittles.
