Welcome to The Fogeys Club! What is a Fogey?

A Fogey is an advocate of maintaining tradition, who thinks that the world is moving too fast and that they either can't or don't want to keep up with it!

A Fogey celebrates and enjoys all that was, and still is, good in British life and which should be continued, revitalized, restored, maintained & encouraged!

The Fogeys Club is not ageist, sexist, racist or political and welcomes all!

What sort of things do Fogeys enjoy?

Steam railways, heritage museums, traditional crafts and trades, village cricket, Blue Peter, UK holidays, villages,cycling, walking, camping, classic caravans, hats & gloves, family history, fountain pens, traditional pubs, local shops, quality & service, Sunday tea, crumpets, canals, gardening, history etc.

We all realise that life today has many positives - better communication, medical advances, and many things that we take for granted. The old days were not all good - unemployment, rickets, TB, poor housing, closed on Sundays etc. 

But we are just looking for a sense of balance and not a headlong rush to take everything that is offered today!
