Welcome to our yurt

The Yurt (Turkic word for dwelling) or Ger has been the home of the people of central Asia for almost 2000 years. Yurts provide simple low impact accommodation, and great protection from the Scottish weather! 

Our small camping yurt (11ft diameter) is set on a traditional working croft on the west cost of Scotland,15 minutes walk from a secluded sandy beach. The yurt, which is in the grounds of our wool and weaving workshop, offers simple accommodation with minimal environmental impact. The yurt has no running water or electricity but is fully equipped for comfortable camping.

Set on the coast road between Shieldaig and Applecross the yurt is a great base from which to experience the natural beauty, rich wildlife and the outstanding walking, climbing and cycling that the Highlands have to offer.
