just to reiterate last season is in the past we are looking firmly ahead to a bright new season for the club on & off the pitch ,once again we thanks everyone for their efforts last season in getting us to the position we are in & wish all the players that moved on all the best with their new clubs.

I would just like to thank the fans,players,management,committee etc for all their help this season ahead of tomorrows final.I have already thanked the above in private but would like to go on record for thanking them for their magnificent efforts this season.I started the season,along with a new committee,with the unenviable task of taking over from John Taylor,who had been hugely successful in his role as chairman.Unfortunately situations arose during the season that needed to be dealt with,which we did as a club,only time will tell if we got those decisions right.We have since the turn of the year concerntrated our efforts on building up the fanbase,making the players feel wanted & their efforts appreciated & generally making Oakside a place where people want to be.I feel that if we have not achieved anything else this season we have achieved our aim of making Barkingside a club that people want to be associated with,judging by the increase in attendances & general feedback from players & supporters & also the nice comments we have received from visiting officals.If we could lift the trophy tomorrow it would be a ftting tributr to all the people who have assisted me this season & for Tony Fenn,for sticking by the club & believing in his principals,we certainly believe in him& I am sure in his leadership the club has a bright future.For all those people going tomorrow to cheer the boys on it is your day,you all in your own way have helped to make this happen,enjoy the day,whatever the result.

We are increasing our activities off the pitch to improve the club & things for you for next season.A group of us along with Adria & his gang from Redbridge will be over the ground in the coming weeks giving it a bit of a tart up.Whilst on the subject of Redbridge I would like to thank Jimmy,Cindy & Adrian for the tremendous help they have been towards this club this season.

I would like to close by once again thanking you for your support,thanking everyone for their help this season,together we will be stronger next season but lets hope we can make tomorrow a blue day & lift some silverware.
