CLUB STATMENT.
Following reports on other websites,the club thought they would issue a statement to reassure all GENUINE supporters of the club.
The club are having an indifferent season following four highly successful seasons on the pitch & eight equally successful seasons under John Taylors chairmanship.There are many reasons behind this but contributing factors are,the club changed its off field personnel in the close seaon,off field politics,indifferent results,floodlight problems.Well what are the club doing to rectify this?
A.With regards to the off field poltics, the members inaccordance with the club rules voted on a course of action to rectify this matter at an extra ordinary meeting in December despite inaccurate reports otherwise.
B.The club relaunched the website closing down the highly damaging fans forum not because we dont respect & appreciate that we all have different views,but because it was being used as a political tool by individuals that was very damaging to the club,& whilst as a club we respect peoples views we could not & can not condone them as official views of the club,althought  I would like to point out as I have before that because I am also a supporter,I am hear to listen to your ideas,views & any constructive criticims you may have,you can phone me,email me,have a beer with me,but whilst we appreciate people are well within their rights to air their views & that we cannot do anything,nor would we wish to,to stop this,we cannot resort to a petty war of words,we are more concerned with putting the time,effort,commitment,into giving you the club you deserve.The players & management have shown thier support of the committee & visa versa.That is also why there is a disclaimer on this website.
C.The club are actively speaking to local schools & organisations to try to do incentives aimed at boosting the future support of the club.
D.To reward & encourage existing support we are allowing everyone in FREE OF CHARGE ,to the first league game back at Oakside.
E.We  are actively talking to people to boost sponsorship of the club,to boost things for the players on & off the pitch but as I am sure all GENUINE supporters will appreciate this is not easy with the limited resources we have as a club.

It is now 12 long years ,after 22 years service,since I left Millwall but in all that time my love of the game has grown which was a major reason for me wanting to get involved in Barkingside & why John Taylor felt fit to hand the club over to me.
We have a long road ahead of us,we will have many ups & downs,but because we are now together on & off the field we will give our GENUINE supporters the club they deserve.
I hope this has gone some way to reassuring you about the club.

Incidently the players,Harkins ,Steadman & all have had a long trai ning session last night aimed at rectifying the seasons results on the pitch.
