Cymdeithas Amaetthwyr Tir Gofal Farmers Association

The Purpose of the Association is

To represent the interest of Tir Gofal farmers to the Welsh Assembly, CCW, UK Government, the EU and others.
To endeavour to develop a Tir Gofal Producer label to allow Tir Gofal farmers to demonstrate to the consumer the environmentally beneficial nature of their product and so help them to market their produce at a better price.
To disseminate information on best practice and help farmers understand why they are required to follow strict management prescriptions. The organisation might make occasional representation to CCW about best practice and the management prescriptions set out in Tir Gofal.
To encourage Tir Gofal management agents (CCW) to make management prescriptions more farm specific, by allowing their field officers more autonomy where this would benefit wildlife, rather than strict adherence to a set of rules.
To promote the benefits of the Tir Gofal Scheme and to encourage more farms in Wales to enter Tir Gofal and to campaign for more frequent application windows.
To promote sustainable environmental farming as essential to maintaining Biodiversity in Wales and throughout the European Union.
