I've just been doing a little work as Finance Officer for the magazine Shoreline of Infinity for which I art direct and draw the comics. I was posting an insider's report on how a Beachcomber comic gets written and drawn. We have an unusual approach which involves two artist-writers collaborating at every stage rather than the assembly line method of story, script, layout, pencils, ink, lettering which I feel tends to stilt the final result.

However, you can't read this report unless you are one of our magazine's patrons. Patrons sign up on the Patreon website for a regular monthly donation to the running of the magazine. This is how my fellow creators and I get paid. The basic Esteemed Reader gives us $1 per month and gets access to insider info and a regular digital subscription to the magazine. Higher pledges get the sponsor more and more into the fabric of the magazine.
