The Silly Army, registered charity number 1136198, is an alternative Bournemouth sports club for adults, based in King's Park.

We invented The Silly Army as an excuse for adults of all ages to run around like kids, playing silly games and sports like we used to do at school.

Our regular meet is 1pm every Sunday at King's Park next to the Bowls Centre. Look for the Volleyball net and a selection of silly equipment.

 

• During the Summer we have free Wednesday outdoor sessions at King's Park from 7pm.
• During the Winter Wednesday sessions are indoors at the YMCA, Westover Road, central Bournemouth (£4 or £5 for two hours of high impact fitness, cost comes down the more players we have).

 

There is no charge (though donations are welcome) and anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to come & play.

You don't have to be super fit or good at sports - enthusiasm, ideas, and a bit of imagination are what count!

Members also organise unofficial events such as trips to the beach, bike rides, Laserquest, Splashdown etc.  Admission charges may apply for these. See our Events Calendar for what's coming up
