Who are we? 

Welcome To Shutter Release where Gillian provides a range of small, bespoke Nature Inspired Photography Tours. Based in Taynuilt near Oban on Scotland's rugged West Coast, we are priviledged to live and work in an area of breathtaking wild landscapes. Argyll's Rainforest and amongst fantastic Wildlife.

What We Do

Join Shutter Releases relaxed Photographer and Guide Gillian on either a 1/2day or full day tour.  Designed for a maximum of 3 people, the tours, into some of the wilder settings in Argyll, allow you to detach from the every day, immerse yourself in nature, feel the many proven health benefits of Photographing in Nature, and, unleash your creativity. 

From Landscapes to Seascapes, Mountains to Forests, Wildflowers to Insects, with on a typical day, a high probability of birds, Otters and White Tailed Eagles  there are lots of potential subjects to try your hand at.

Shutter Release also offers some Wildlife specific tours.

Who are the Tours for?

Shutter Releases Tours cater for all levels of Photography experience. Photographer and Guide Gillian will give advice freely throughout eg. general set ups, technique and subject matter. By the end of the Day, as you gain more confidence photographing in the wild, perhaps you will even try something different and unleash more of your own creativity!

Although we visit some off the beaten track locations, they are accesible to all fitness levels. Some walking will however be required.
