CAN'T FIND A CUP OF COFFEE IN SHAP ON A MONDAY MORNING?

Come to the Reading Room in the Memorial Hall for coffee, cakes and sandwiches (and if you are lucky, soup!)

11.00 am to 1.30 pm on Mondays

Any funds we raise will go towards the new charity shop in Shap - we are hoping to open in Spring 2015!

We have opened because:

• the Age UK Shop in Shap has closed, and we miss the company!
• the Shap Chippy and the Abbey Cafe are closed on Mondays, so we feel there is a gap to be filled

If you are resident and feeling both hungry and lonely - or if you are passing through Shap, are hungry and want to meet some of our nice local people! - call in and see us.

If you are walking the Coast-to-Coast Walk - or any other of the superb circular walks around Shap - we could be very useful in providing vital sustenance in a hungry gap.  The superb Shap Chippy and the excellent Abbey Cafe are both closed on a Monday, so we like to think that we are stepping in to carry the reputation of Shap hospitality!

We are at the Memorial Hall, very central, conveniently placed for the car park, the bus stop (even for the public conveniences, although of course the hall does provide these).  The entrance is at the side, look for our notice board!

We are open every Monday until 15th December; then again from 12th January 2015.
