On occasions people from our local and nearby communities who have a stay in hospital are unable/struggling to get back into their own homes due to lack of appropriately trained carers in our area.
Many families do look after their loved ones but cannot do it 24hrs a day.
Our charity Seaboard Cares have been working in partnership with one of our partners Carr Gomm to address this situation. To date we have made it possible for local residents to find employment and to train as Carers with Carr Gomm and currently 133 hours of care in and around our area are being covered. This has gone a long way to making it possible for Villagers to "come home".
Below you will see an advert from Carr Gomm looking to employ more staff. This is due to new people needing care at home in places such as the Seaboard Villages, Fearn, Portmahomack, Inver and nearby Tain. Working locally enables people who have children of school age to fit their working hours around the family demands. Please note men and women are invited to apply for these employment opportunities. See below to find out how to apply.
You can also visit the Job club in both Balintore and Tain to apply online. 😃
