We've had a look at the website today and done some editing. Looking at the History page we can report that many of the objectives listed when the website was first constructed have been achieved. As time has gone on the group has steadily grown. If you identify as someone who fits the profile and would like to be involved please don't hesitate to contact us.

A good meeting this month (June 2015)

Another year of learning and support both given and received (thank you), we are taking a break for the festive season so enjoy your celebrations and we will see you in the New Year.

Another good meeting. Regulars and new folk, to those who managed to attend thank you. Your honesty and support has shown us again just how important this group is.

It seems like it's been a while since we managed to put something up on here.
Been really busy working to promote the group at different events and projects with other support groups, just have to wait to see the fruits of our labours.
The last few meetings before the summer break went well and carry on proving just how important the group is.
So September will be our 2nd birthday as an independent group, we will be having cake.

Lovely cake in september and great chat followed by the same in October.
We are having a speaker at the November meeting followed by hopefully a tour round the station to make a change from the relaxed chat. This will be our last meeting for this year so will include a christmas theme, would be lovely to see everyone there.

Well it seems a long time since we added a comment on here ... there is so much going on and sometimes it's hard to keep up to date.So we were in the parade for Birmingham Pride a lovely time, next we are at Coventry Pride, so if you would like to say hello please do.
The group is slowly growing and we are supporting more people every month, we are shown every time that we were right to start the group.
Please get in touch if you feel that we could help, no one is told how to deal with their journey and are only encouraged to share as much as they need to, in their own time.

A really good meeting with lovely people can't wait for the next one.

So even thought it wasn't ideal the meeting turned out to be quite a good one, thank you to those who turned up.

So we finished off this years meetings with mince pies and treats of all sorts.
Over the year we had some new people which was lovely showing us that the group is still needed.
Anyway looking forward to helping more people next year.

So much is happening .....
Thank you to those who came to Shrewsbury we really enjoyed your company see you again in June all being well.

It's been a while since we made a comment on here ... The group is moving from strength to strength with two visits to Shrewsbury, thank you to everyone that made it in, we enjoyed seeing you there. We are trying to line up a venue for you to meet. The last meeting was well attended and we all benefited from the support shown. After a summer break we look forward to seeing everyone in September.

It seems to have been a long time since we met up..lots of planning and hard work to bring you a new venue to help cover a bigger area..A big thank you to the team for your help..So an increase of 4 meetings for next year..we do have an extra one this coming October,the first in the new venue..so contact us for details..looking forward to seeing you all again soon.:)

The last two meetings have been filled with so much support we have been blown way .. Thank you to everyone who has taken part, we look forward to the next time we see you. Have a great break over Christmas and New Year and we will hopefully see you in January

It seems such a long time since we were able to meet face to face but we would still like to offer our groups help to you, for now that will continue to be via zoom, if your like me not sure that over the net isn't for you then please give it a try as it's better than struggling on your own. So after too long of not being able to meet face to face and even though the virtual meetings have been a life line it's time to get together. As soon as we have the go ahead there will be face to face soon, details will be in the usual monthly email, we will still be running the zoom along side for those who can't make it for what ever reason.

We have been meeting face to face and its been such a pleasure to see people again the virtual side has been a bit hit and miss but we hope to iron out some of the wrinkles as we go along ... we have been out and about at Warwick pride and look forward to chase pride (Cannock/Hednesford) on the 3rd of September followed by the meeting at the end of the month ... with two venues one near Cannock and the other near Wolverhampton, email us for details, we hope to cover as wider an area as possible (south Staffs and the west midlands) if you are further away or have trouble travelling you can still join us as we are still running the virtual part of our meeting so drop us an email and join us via the internet.
The rules are as for any meeting privacy, respect and tolerance. No one is told how to feel or deal with the situation they find themselves in, we will listen and answer your questions (as long as we feel comfortable to do so) in as a supportive way as we can.

Hi one and all,
It's been a while since we posted on here.
Over the years we have met lots of lovely people, whom we have laughed, cried and generally enjoyed spending time with both being a support too and being supported by for which we have been grateful for.
With all that's gone on over the last few months and years, it's been hard to keep on top of some things that we need to but that doesn't mean we aren't still meeting.
At the beginning of this years we had to take a serious look at what we can manage. We decided that it might be worth running a monthly virtual meeting on a night in the week so we have added these to the calendar but reduce the face to face as travelling long distances has become a bit of an issue, added to this the attendance at the physical meetings has fallen off a little so it seemed a good point at which to reduce the work load, although at any point there is a need for these to be increased we will.
We will continue to do what we can for as long as we can, so look after yourselves and if you need support for whatever reason find someone that can help, your not on your own and there will be someone for whom your presence in their world is a life saver .....
