SEALL Arts ~ the Isle of Skye
Celebrating 18 years of arts promotion in South Skye
SEALL arts provides the 'Performing Arts Centre' for south Skye. It promotes an annual programme of 25 events, including Traditional Music, World Music, Jazz and Classical. It also promotes Theatre and Children's Events.
SEALL is also responsible for the summer-time15-day Feis an Eilein or Skye Festival and the 'Aos Dana' Book Festival.
All of these feature some of the best musicians and performing companies touring Scotland, making SEALL one of the liveliest voluntary-run arts promoting groups in Scotland.
Where Are We?
SEALL uses the stunning venues provided by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland’s award-winning Gaelic college.
This is in the Sleat Peninsula of south Skye - 2 miles north of Armadale and 13 miles south of Broadford, on the A851.
SEALL works in partnership with the College and uses two of the College’s venues on a regular basis. The main venue is a quality performance space with flexible seating of between 100 and 180. The second venue is a more intimate space in a converted 19th century barn. There is also an outdoor amphitheatre which seats up to 250 people.
SEALL occasionally uses other local venues, including Armadale Castle and village halls.
