ROTHES FOOTBALL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY (INCL FIRST AID)


GENERAL POLICY

It is the policy of Rothes Football Club to take all reasonable and practicable steps to safeguard the health and safety and welfare of all employees at work and to protect all other persons against hazards to health or safety arising out of the Club's activities.

The co-operation of every member of the Club is necessary in promoting this policy and in ensuring that the standard of health and safety which is achieved is always at least equal and preferably above the standards set by the Health and Safety at Work Act and the regulations made under it.


ADVICE

Advice on matters of Health and Safety is taken from the Health and Safety Executive and 'The Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds'.


FIRST AID STRUCTURE

The responsibility for implementing this policy rests with the Board, which delegates the responsibility to designated First Aiders for home matches and Club Coaches for matters within their areas of responsibility/functions.

In addition, it is the statutory duty of every employee at all times to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and all others who may be affected by their actions.


ACCIDENT BOOK

An accident book is maintained in the Club Office. With the exception of injuries sustained on the field of play, all accidents or injuries sustained whilst on club business must be recorded in the Accident Book.
