Ross- Sutherland 1st XV gained promotion to the Caledonian league Div 1 2009/10  following a hard fought 2008/09 season and extensive play -off structure, narrowly beating closest league rivlas Moray RFC in the final decider, under the lights at hosts Highland RFC in Inverness.
