RNLI First Day Covers

in 1974 the RNLI celebrated the 150th anniversary of its foundation, many stamps were issued to commemorate this special event, it was decided the RNLI should produce its own official first day covers, they number 1 to 259 starting in 1974 through to 1996, with proceeds from the sales benefiting RNLI funds.Many covers were issued, standard covers, covers carried aboard the lifeboats and covers signed by the coxains and members of the crew.
