Proceeds from our knitting go to Local and National Charities.

Just a couple of our  cheque presentations.

We are a group of 4 Nans, who love to knit, anything and everything for Charity Fund Raising

We started a few years back knitting chicks for Easter, which rapidly developed into knitting all sorts of animals, rabbits, unicorns, hedgehogs, dragons, pigs, cats, in fact we are always up for a challenge and we were certainly given some.

We were absolutely amazed how well our knitted items were received and as the saying goes - Big Oak Trees from little acorns grow - well so did our knitting repertoire - we were getting requests for some very strange items, but we always gave it a go and always suceeeded.

I think probably it was partly due to the prices we charged, nothing was exhorbitant and all profits went straight into our Charity fund.  We originally set our goal at £200, then £500, but we soon surpassed that and our Easter project totalled £1056 which we donated to Claire House Childrens Hospice. We have donated to several charities over the past few years - Teenage Cancer Research, Air Ambulance, Clare House, Claire House 40-4-40 Campaign, Clatterbridge Breast Cancer. Sea Cadets New Brighton, RSPCA, Autism Together and NHS - and we continue to increase our funds for futher donations.

Due to Lockdown we had to put a hold on the project we were embarking on, but decided to knit small nurses  - these were a fantastic sucess and we actually sold them all over the country and several even went abroad.
