A NEW PRODUCTION COMING SOON!

A REVUE

The next production will be a Revue, which the Pirbright Players will present at the village hall on 11th and 12th May 2012. We are looking for a cast of 10-12 adults, and we will be holding auditions in the clubroom at Lord Pirbright's Hall on Thursday 2nd February 2012, 8pm. The audition will be based on readings of some of the sketches to be included in the show. More details in the Future Productions and Events Page.

PIRBRIGHT PLAYERS
Pirbright Players, an amateur drama group, was founded in 1971. It has built up an enviable reputation for quality productions. Each year the Players produce 2–3 productions – plays, musicals or pantomimes on the stage in Lord Pirbright’s Hall, Pirbright, Surrey. They also have social functions, hold special events and cast parties after each production.
The group has about 70 members of all ages and new members are always welcome for acting and backstage. Please see the Membership Page for more details. Members receive a newsletter ‘Prompt’ giving details of future productions and events.
The Players recently produced some very enjoyable successful shows: Noises Off on 9th and 10th October, 2009, the King and I  on 4th, 5th and 6th March 2010, Dad's Army on 2nd and 3rd July, 2010, Macbeth – the Panto on 20th, 21st and 22nd January 2011, a rehearsed reading of The Old Country on 23rd March 2011, Outside Edge on 24th and 25th June 2011 and A Christmas Parcel on 9th and 10th December 2011

A CHRISTMAS PARCEL
What a fantastic show! A co-operative venture with Pirbright Players, Pirbright Singers and Pirbright School, A Christmas Parcel was performed on 9th and 10th December 2011 in Lord Pirbright's Hall. It involved the telling of the Christmas story in the form of a mini play with lots of acting, singing, dancing and music. Lots of fun, laughter and carols were enjoyed by the audience and performers. Profits from the show will go to Crisis at Christmas. Videos from the show are in the gallery.
