The residents of the Village may be interested why the holes are being dug on the Field South of the Village of Irchester. AWA have a pressure problem from Gratham water due to the low level of water and need to find a way of moving water around the county from Rutland water. At the top of woodlands road a new system has been installed to put back presseure into the system and at Farndish Road a New pump house is to be built. In Wilby plans are before the Borough for a huge new pump house and the plans for the Farndish Road pump house will be presented to the Council within days. On the Wollaston Road site due to the recorded presents of Newts a work method Statement has had to be drawn up and the NCC have had a spotter on site during digging due to the historical importance of the field.Hope this update helps. Regards Tony. Posted by tony skipper on 17 February 2012 meeting Great review of the meeting and I do hope that the steering group will get a move on. I cannot find any details of the Chester Road Site that you found on the web.Have you seen the AWA are having to put a new main in the field to the rear of Woodlands Road this year as they have problems in this area. Well Done. Posted by tony skipper on 08 February 2012 | ![]() |
