We, as your local charity, have been busy over the passed 10 YEARS! Hosting our annual events such as The Easter & Summer Gala, Fireworks and our Wonderful Wintery (sometimes wet) Christmas Lights Switch On with Santa and elves included! Halfway is an area that you all well know is in very much need of a lot of T.L.C. Our annual events are extremely popular & sucessful now! We aim to make all of our events and activities free of charge and totally enclusive to all local residents. Our Particip8 volunteer's work tirelessly to help our community feel welcome, happy & safe and that they have a sense of belonging at events such as these.

Our local base unit - The Particip8 Community HUB is beginning to pick up now. We have LEAP to thank for that with their regular use of the HUB for their meeting, training etc. Also, The Halfway Community Council holding their monthly meetings at the HUB. We have our own local community hero Councillor Walter Brogan (whom is one of the founders of P8), as well as Councillor Alistar Fulton, hosting their monthly surgeries at our HUB. We also hold our own monthly Committee Meetings. We welcome residents from all areas of The Halfway to attend! Please see our calendar tab on the left for dates and times...

We already have a lot of interest, but we are very keen to hear your opinions and ideas for using this space, so if you have a group, or would like to start a group, we'd be happy to hear from you and will help you with setting up the group if we can. If you know of any group looking for premises please ask them to get in touch via email - particip8hub@outlook.com or leave a voice message on 01416418015.

This project will only work if the whole community gets involved to maximise the use of the HUB for community based events and as part of that we have ensured that we have great disabled access, which means that the whole community can be a part of it. We also have baby changing facilities for mums and dads with young families.

One of our goals is to use the HUB to provide information and assistance to local people whether it be to get a job, find out about benefits, contact an elected representative, get financial advice, hold local meetings, training space, activites, projects and events and any other service that will benefit the community.

The HUB project has the support of South Lanarkshire Council, Local Councillors, Police Scotland, Halfway Community Council, Tenants/Residents Groups and agencies working in the area on our behalf.

The bottom line is, it’s a facility to benefit the whole of the Halfway areas, without the full backing of that community we will not be able to sustain it.

Please give your support and if we can make the HUB work, we could go on to bigger and better facilities much needed in our area.
