Two Bad Week's....!
11 December 2011

What a bad two weeks it has been for the team with two defeats against the Maysons and Easthouses Miners Club A.

Unfortunately there has not been any posiitives to take out of these defeats other than Aidan Breen's good performance v Easthouses and the only point picked up against the Maysons in the J.Neilson Pairs.

On Tuesday we face the current league leaders the M.F.I. so we realy need to perform better than we have to avoid another defeat.

I have noticed in recent weeks that the website traffic has dropped significantly so therefore I am considering on closing down the current website.

Bus Drivers Almost Cause A Shock..!
24 November 2011

Tuesday's night game was at Home to the S.M.T. and Pathhead were hopeful of keeping their winning run going especially in the Singles however the S.M.T were out to make it hard for the home team.

First up was Davie Corris who has had a good start to the season however his opponent Davie Forbes was playing well and in all fairness should have won but could not hit his double Davie Corris eventually hit his for to get Pathhead off to a winning start.

Next up was Ian Douglas who unfortunately could not get going meanwhile his opponent Frankie Miller took the leg with a double two checkout. In the next game Dave Scott played really well and should have hit an 18 dart leg however missed doubles cost him his chance and Mike Gillan who had played a steady game himself won the leg to put the away team 2-1 up.

In the fourth leg Paul Fraser was in good form and easilly brushed his opponent aside who was W.Szanel with a good checkout on double 13 to put the match all square.

Craig Murray was pretty steady and won the fifth leg to put the home team ahead for the first time in the match and a good sixth leg from Chas Newbold put the home team in a strong position in the match and gave the home team at least a point.

Up next was Jose Brown against Peter Hutchison and it was the man from the S.M.T. who took this leg and set up the finale between Aidan Breen making his debut in the Singles against Mick McNee in a game which provided a lot of near misses Aiden produced the steadier darts when it mattered and secured the three points by hitting the winning double.

Mick actually went onto to hit 180 in one of the later events in which the away team had their fair share of success by wiining the Pairs and the Triples.

Pathhead won the Fours and Paul Fraser and Chas Newbold also won the J.Neilson Pairs for the home team.

Next week we play the Maysons away which is potentialy our hardest game so far this season so therefore we will need to be focused and give it our best shot if we want to be considered as contenders for this years League Championship.

Poor Performance From Pathhead..!
06 November 2011

Not really sure what went wrong on Tuesday but Pathhead could not raise their game and were very fortunate to win 6-2 in their Singles game against their opponents E.B.C.

The away team dominated the match and because of missed doubles they should have done better by the the time the Pairs came along you would have expected better but alas it was not to be as the boys from Easthouses rattled up wins in the Pairs,Fours and J.Neilson Pairs.

Pathhead took the Triples but am afraid this is one match Pathhead will be glad its behind them.

Next week away to Easthouses Miners B lets hope for a big improvement lads!

Good Win Away To Grants..!
30 October 2011

Pathhead knew that their match with Grants Bar would not be easy and thats exactly how it turned out to be Dave Corris could not get going and lost his first game of the season in the Singles against Scott Glen.

Ian Douglas played well and got Pathhead back into the game with a good win against Hector Reilly,Then Dave Scottt had a chance against Wullie Steele however it was the man from Grants who took this leg to put his team 2-1 up in the match.

Alec Turnbull could not find the winning double and lost to Paul Fraser who made the match all level again,Chas Newbold hit the winning double against Martin Neil to put Pathhead 3-2 up then Paul Campbell won against Craig Murray to yet again level up the match.

Next up were Barry Merchant and Jose Brown in what was a scrappy affair however the Pathhead man held his nerve and hit double 3 to make the score 4-3 to Pathhead.

Then Gogs Cornwall put in a very good display against George Prestage who had hit two ton plus scores in this game however the loudest cheer of the night came when Gogs hit double 10 to take the points for Pathhead.

Pathhead Demolish Woodburn..!
16 October 2011

Pathhead wanted a good result after last week's disappointing draw with M.C.C. and they got what they wanted with a really good 8-0 win in the Singles with Dave Scott,Dave Corris,Ian Douglas,Paul Fraser,Chas Newbold,Craig Murray,Jose Brown and Gogs Cornwall all winning their games.

In the Pairs it was a different story as Woodburn raised their game and were deserved winners of this event 3-1.

In the Fours Ian Douglas,Aidan Breen,Kevin Agnew and Robert Cornwall held their nerve and went on to win this match for the home team.

Paul Fraser and Chas Newbold played well in the J.Neilson Pairs and beat Eddie Main and Davie Haig to keep us involved in this years competition.

Woodburn played well in the Triples and took this event with some good displays from the away team.

Overall Pathhead will be glad with the good win in the Singles and can now look forward to next week's competition which is the nine man team.
