Tuesday's night game was at Home to the S.M.T. and Pathhead were hopeful of keeping their winning run going especially in the Singles however the S.M.T were out to make it hard for the home team.
First up was Davie Corris who has had a good start to the season however his opponent Davie Forbes was playing well and in all fairness should have won but could not hit his double Davie Corris eventually hit his for to get Pathhead off to a winning start.
Next up was Ian Douglas who unfortunately could not get going meanwhile his opponent Frankie Miller took the leg with a double two checkout. In the next game Dave Scott played really well and should have hit an 18 dart leg however missed doubles cost him his chance and Mike Gillan who had played a steady game himself won the leg to put the away team 2-1 up.
In the fourth leg Paul Fraser was in good form and easilly brushed his opponent aside who was W.Szanel with a good checkout on double 13 to put the match all square.
Craig Murray was pretty steady and won the fifth leg to put the home team ahead for the first time in the match and a good sixth leg from Chas Newbold put the home team in a strong position in the match and gave the home team at least a point.
Up next was Jose Brown against Peter Hutchison and it was the man from the S.M.T. who took this leg and set up the finale between Aidan Breen making his debut in the Singles against Mick McNee in a game which provided a lot of near misses Aiden produced the steadier darts when it mattered and secured the three points by hitting the winning double.
Mick actually went onto to hit 180 in one of the later events in which the away team had their fair share of success by wiining the Pairs and the Triples.
Pathhead won the Fours and Paul Fraser and Chas Newbold also won the J.Neilson Pairs for the home team.
Next week we play the Maysons away which is potentialy our hardest game so far this season so therefore we will need to be focused and give it our best shot if we want to be considered as contenders for this years League Championship.
