For several years PAN has been warning naïve Pagans about the stupidity of the Christian-Pagan Interfaith situation. We urge all free-minded Pagans to take heed of the following important information.
Pagans who have refused to join in with the noble PAN/SAFF campaign for all our rights have instead chosen to sell their brothers and sisters down the Interfaith River. We exposed the absolute apathy and mulish ignorance of the new Pagan Federation leadership when we informed PAN members of the PF’s support for the Interfaith gathering between Pagan/Christian ‘LEADERS’ at Blacklands Lake, Holiday Centre, Calne, Wilts back in summer of 1995. This meeting was supposed to include one Rev. John Celia from the CHRISTIAN REACHOUT SERVICE. This fundamentalist activist had previously appeared on TV warning of the great dangers connected to HALLOWEEN etc.
CRS Dropped out at the last minute yet PAN’s warning was still highly valid. CRS is a very hardline Evangelical Xtian group. They were instrumental in creating (like Reachout Trust) much of the hatred and mistrust against Paganism during the Satanic Ritual Abuse Myth (SRAM). This fanatical organisation produced literature categorically stating that Witches/Pagans were evil child abusers. They told readers of their vile newsletters that Witches were murdering and torturing hundreds of children in rituals across the U.K. We warned that CRS and other Evangelical groups, which were well financed/supported by established churches, would infiltrate Paganism (via Interfaith) and thus use acquired data to further suppress our beliefs.
We warned that powerful Xtian movers in Parliament like Anne Widdecombe, David Alton and other fundie MPs were waiting in the wings to twist Pagan religion into something crass and evil. Their heinous diatribe against innocent Pagans since is evidence of this fact! We warned that the leading hierarchy in the orthodox churches would not tolerate any liberal Xtian moves to chum-up with Witches/Pagans. Again, today’s evidence of the heightening church led clampdown on Paganism speaks for itself herein. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Doctor George Carey recently said, "This is not a multi-faith country, it is a Christian country."
We warned that fundie doctrine always ensures that they seek SATANIC ADVERSARIES even when there are none available. This is what occurred during the last round of SRAM (Satanic Ritual Abuse Myth) cases. When Evangelical groups couldn’t find Satanic opponents they invented the SRAM to substantiate and support their cock-eyed millenialistic theories. They are STILL looking for ‘Holy War’ against Paganistic forces that their Bible tells them are evil or at least mislead! They are STILL gaining ground in all areas of society and it is only a question of time before they manage to fully float the Satanic Abuse Myth once again. The "Decade of Evangelism" is alive and well and Pagans are but one target on their devious hit list! Pagans who liaise and information share with Christians at Interfaith Moots are unaware of the recent fundie campaign to disenfranchise us out of all our religious freedoms.
They must be totally naïve or else they wouldn’t be wasting their time interfaithing with an aggressive theocracy that sees itself as the only ‘True Salvation’ of the world! For instance, the Movement of Christian Democracy (holding over 10,000 members) recently stated that:
"Every prospective Pagan is a prospective Christian".
In other words –they are telling their troops to subvert, infiltrate and evangelise Paganism! This is a ‘Mission Message’ that runs straight through the centre core of Christian Credo. ‘Suppress or Evangelise’ is their plan and PAN has evidence that Pagans have been recently converted to Christianity with more to follow soon. We have ‘Jews-For-Jesus’ missionising organisations. We now fully expect to see ‘Pagans for Christ’ outfits springing up all over the place. Yes, the spectre of ‘Christo-Paganism’ is growing at an alarming rate.
Unfortunately, due to the new Pagan Federation leadership’s inability to see through the fundies' HIDDEN AGENDA in the INTERFAITH SITUATION, they are opening wide the doors to the tactics of the ‘Missionary Machine!’
This PF leadership refuses to work with anti defamation groups like PAN/SAFF because we spoke out against their inability to protect PF members rights ages ago (somebody had to!) Please note – YOU WILL NOT SEE PAN OR SAFF ADVERTISED IN THE PAGAN DAWN MAGAZINE (PF’s GLOSSY MOUTHPIECE) LISTINGS REGARDLESS OF US BEING THE MOST EFFECTIVE PAGAN DEFENCE GROUPS IN THE UK! The PF cannot fully understand the awful ramifications that their stupidity on Interfaith will have for the future of Paganism. Ponder if you will on the old classic movie INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS and you will begin to see the analogy with Interfaith and evangelism!
The history of Christianity gives plain testimony of how indigenous faiths are always eventually suppressed, infiltrated and ultimately converted for Christ. Spreading the Gospel means conversion of all that stands in the way of the Cross! PAN believes that all right-minded people who have sincerely examined fundie history must in all honesty see this clear fact. Well meaning yet stupid Pagans have sold us out to the fundies before, ancient and contemporary history verifies this sad truth so well.
We have mentioned, in previous PAN bulletins, that there are over
4000 fundie organisations in the UK alone.
Just one of these groups spends over £1,000,000 per year on anti-occultist/Pagan activities. The CRS was almost welcomed with open arms to the Wilts Interfaith jamboree. Who in their right mind could ever trust PF leaders after supporting such irresponsible foolishness? What sort of Pagan refuses to shout out loud and clear in the face of such a gross insult to their religion?
PAN asks:
"WHY IS THE PF HELPING THE XTIANS TO SUBVERT OUR RELIGIONS ONCE AGAIN VIA THE LUDICROUS INTERFAITH FIASCO? "
MILLIONS OF POUNDS ARE BEING PLOUGHED INTO EVANGELICAL CAMPAIGNS TO UNDERMINE OCCULTIST/PAGAN BELIEFS AND PRACTICES IN THIS COUNTRY. ALL THE PF CAN DO IS LIAISE WITH THE CLANDESTINE FORCE THAT SEEKS TO DESTROY THE OLD FAITHS.
Christianity holds all the cards in the ‘Spiritual Sweep Stakes’ of this country as it has for many blood-filled centuries. All of PAN’s data on the current situation tells us that this ruling theocracy isn’t about to jettison its iron grip on this "Christian Nation" to a small nest of naïve Pagans that should know better! For centuries Xtians have happily tortured, hung, burnt and generally crushed all feasible opposition to their Holy Doctrine of Love! Their successors have never apologised to Pagans or other occult minorities for the vile crimes of their devout ancestors!
The PF stance on Interfaith is a squalid insult to the proud memory and heritage of our Pagan ancestors! Whilst we warn the unenlightened – Pagan peoples all over the globe are still being swiftly infiltrated and evangelised by the colleagues of those Christians shaking hands with stupid Pagans at so-called Interfaith moots! The Pagan Community and all other occultists must wake up from its cosy Interfaith slumber before it’s too late.
There is absolutely no ‘Common Ground’ between us and the Fundie-machine. In order to survive Pagans must fully realise this ancient truth.
PAN AND THE SAFF WILL FIGHT THIS ‘MISSIONARY TACTIC’ WITH EVERY PEACEFUL YET POSITIVE MEANS AT OUR DISPOSAL.
