WELCOME - Eat: Shoots & Leaves is our motto. Our intent is to forage and live off what we can find on, in or near the river; fish, berries, nuts and mushrooms...maybe, even...a cafe or pub.

This site is about our open canoe river adventures. We are a team of folks who should all know better; who all love the fun and freedom of an open boat and the adventure of a river trip.

We all aspire to paddle like Ray Goodwin [we are not worthy] and live on our adventures like Ray Mears [still not worthy].

We will share stories of our trips, our training and the planning [more beer please].  We hope to inspire and encourage; each other and you dear reader.
