Welcome to the North Hykeham Town Twinning Association website.

If you live or work in North Hykeham or the surrounding area, and you are interested in twinning, (especially with German families!!), then NHTTA is for you.  We normally have exchange visits annually, with organised parties travelling to and from our twin town of Denzlingen in alternate years.  Denzlingen is in the South West corner of Germany just a few miles from the attractive Cathedral City of Freiburg.  Do not be put off if you are unable to accommodate German visitors in your home here - you'll still receive a warm welcome over in Denzlingen, (and of course at our regular monthly meetings here in North Hykeham).  We also try to arrange social functions during the year and there's an opportunity to become involved in the wider aspects of twinning with communities in a variety of countries through our affiliation to the Lincolnshire Twinning Federation.  Feel free to explore the site and don't forget to check out the "links" page for connections to other sites of interest.  For more information on NHTTA, you can email us on NHTTA@europe.com or telephone on 01522 882014.

Burgermeister Markus Hollemann demonstrates one of Denzlingen's new fleet of electric mopeds, available to hire by residents. Charging stations have been erected around the town and fees are charged directly to user's domestic electricity bills.	Candle Trail Now a Denzlingen tradition, hundreds of lighted candles are arranged in swirling patterns around the contours of the Town Park during Summer Festivals
The Burgermeister of Denzlingen Markus Hollemann was elected Burgermeister of Denzlingen in July 2009 following the untimely death of the previous incumbent, Dr. Lothar Fischer	New 2009/10 Wine Princess chosen Simone Schwaab has been chosen as the new Breisgauer Wine Princess. This picture shows her being congratulated by well-known Denzlingen winemaker and Deputy Burgermeister of Denzlingen, Otto Frey. Otto's daughter is a previous National title holder.
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of our twinning with Denzlingen in the Black Forest area of South-West Germany. We held a gala dinner at The Bentley Hotel, South Hykeham in September 2009 for our members and German friends. Did you know that Denzlingen is twinned with towns in France and Italy as well as with North Hykeham? Each town has its own dedicated and landscaped roundabout in Denzlingen!!	Bodensee (Lake Constance) This beautiful stretch of water lies on the Southern edge of the Black Forest, just a few hours drive from Denzlingen. On a clear day, the alps are clearly visible from the shoreline, and ferry boats ply backwards and forwards between the various towns, including Konstanz itself.
The Old Town Hall, (Rathaus) in Denzlingen Right in the centre of Denzlingen,you'll find both the Old Town Hall and the adjacent new municipal buildings. Denzlingen is the administrative centre for Denzlingen and its surrounding villages	The Kultur and Burgerhaus This striking modern building includes a concert and assembly hall together with other accommodation. It also has a restaurant and terrace cafe operated by the "Delcanto" group.
The Rocca Cafe This interesting conversion of a former tobacco factory also hosts art exhibitions and cultural events.
