A note on the weather: The 2015 season so far has been particularly challenging with regard to weather conditions. The New Era is a small vessel operating on a tidal estuary where conditions can become quite rough even at moderate wind speeds, due to the effects of strong tides. The prevailing pattern this year has been one of very unsettled and unpredictable weather. This has meant that, on several occasions, passengers were turned away on the basis of bad weather forecasts, while the weather at the time of the planned trips actually turned out to be fine. If this happens to you, it is because safe operation is our top priority and we ask for your understanding.
