An incredibly sharp film of Lloyd George visiting Neath in 1918 to receive the Freedom of the Borough.  British Film institute archive.

A similar newsreel by Pathe Gazette not quite as good quality

An interesting montage of the past and present by Simon Warren found on you tube

Another little video by our friend at the fyineath website whilst now a little dated is a good condensation of Neath town.

Not forgetting the upper end of 'our patch' - here is a nother interesting montage of photogrpahs taken form abook by the noted Glyn Davies of Cwmgwrach

We all know Church Place, where the NMI is situated housing our archive - a lilltle oasis of the Victorian Age and mosdt of it unaltered to the extent that it can be used as a film location

However, some buildings do not last for long - this one a lot less than fifty years
