We have arranged a day workshop on March 16th with Mrs Jenny Roberts doing flowers. All places are now taken

We had a very pleasant Sit 'n' Sew day on the9th February.  The weather was very cold and a few people were unable to come for various reasons, mostly illness.  The rest of us enjoyed our day.

On sit n sew day you can come all or part of the time.  If you come for the day please bring some lunch with you.  Bring sewing machine, if needed.

Our next meeting

The speaker for the social afternoon on the 23rd February will be Mrs Dorothy Russell

The Next Sit 'n' Sew day is on 9th March

All welcome

Meetings will usually be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

So far we have had seven meetings.
At our first one Mrs Doris Alcock, who is president of the Llandegai Patchworkers,  gave a talk and showed some of her many beautiful quilts.  We were all amazed and envious at the quality of her work.

Our second, fourth, fifth & seventh meetings were Sit 'N' Sew days where everyone chatted and offered help or suggestions where required, I hope.  This is meant to be a day where you can come and sew, quilt and generally finish off those UFO's (unfinished objects) without all those usual interruptions.  We don't mind if you want to come and alter your curtains or do your mending .
Most of us take our lunch.

Mrs Jenny Roberts from Marianglas brought her quilts and many wall hangings to show us on the 24th November. Many of these had been made for her City and Guilds and were very artistic. Jenny is well known for her flower designs which we all admired.  At the end of the meeting we all were allowed to look carefully and question how different tecniques were achieved.

Alison Chapman was our speaker in January she is a well known teacher throughout Anglesey on all aspects of patchwork and quilting.  Her varied work was amazing and everyone enjoyed inspecting her work and asking questions at the end.  She has promised to come back to give a workshop,  dates will be on this site as soon as this is organised.
