2019 Annual Concert
Our Annual Concert is performed on the first Saturday in December. The next concert will take place on 7 December 2019 in St. Mary's Church, Market Place, Masham, North Yorkshire, England, starting at 7.30pm Conductor: to be announced.
Tickets will be available from Society Member or
on the door on performance night.
2019 Rehearsals information
Weekly rehearsals commence on Wednesday 4 September 7.30pm - 9.30pm in the Methodist Church School Room, Masham, North Yorkshire.
The final rehearsal information will be posted nearer to the date.

New members welcome
ABOUT US
We are a long established community group of singers based in Masham in the North Yorkshire Dales in England. We welcome new members who enjoy singing. No auditions are necessary nor do you need to read music, but this can be an advantage.
We sing a wide variety of songs from old classics to The Beatles and just about everything in between. Members are invited to put forward suggestions to the Music Choosing Committee their choice of songs to be performed as part of the concert. Members also have the opportunity to perform a solo, or perhaps a duet, as part of our concert if they wish on a voluntary basis.

How did it all start?
Little is known about why, when or who started Masham Musical Society. The earliest known reference to the Society is to a programme of Christmas carols performed at the Mechanics Institute on 26th December 1877.
An article published in The Dalesman in November 1959 makes for both interesting and informative reading.

2016 Annual Concert in Masham Town Hall
Guest Conductor: Avia Machin Accompanist: Anthony Rudd
A wonderful concert was enjoyed by both the choir and the audience thanks to our guest conductor Avia Machin. However, the concert had a bittersweet note as Tony Rudd, our friend and talented accompanist, retired. We thank Tony for his years of wonderful music making and good-humoured patience.
